The Art Director is responsible for providing design leadership to the Design Team, taking ownership of and having basic knowledge of all on-going design projects, and also actively working on design projects, to ensure all work is completed on time, on brand/season and as requested.
This individual works within and across small interdependent teams, and must develop the design skills, and creative and strategic knowledge of the Design Team. He/she will have an understanding of balance required between design, communication and partnership, and how these elements work together to further growth and sales in stores and online. The Art Director provides design expertise and best practices for the development of all design and creative assets, and must be able to inspire and develop the Design Team, and ensure goals and objectives are met on time and as requested.
This is a salaried, full-time manager-level position demanding hands-on instruction and collaboration with designers, Brand Marketing Team and others, which requires a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week working in either the Cleveland or Columbus offices, to meet the needs of teams in both locations, excluding lunch and holidays. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
