    General Summary

    Coordinate and assist the whole Buying team with developing business strategies and seasonal assortment plans to maximize the development of the brand, sales and profits for a department or assigned area.  This position is a bridge to the Assistant Buyer role focusing on process and tasks.

    Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

     Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinates information across functions working closely with Product Development, MP&A, Sourcing, Digital, Marketing and Visual to ensure the process is followed and timelines met.
    • Communicate product needs regarding Vendor set up, UPC, PSS, and samples requisition to domestic/international vendors and international agents for promo set, web, catalog photography and marketing meetings; monitor and maintain with constant update on the Time and Action calendars for each item developed from 1st sample to shipping.
    • Create, coordinate, and manage the process of First Insight testing from beginning setting up the ‘game’ to analyze final results.
    • JDA management – including locating info for PSS such as Duty/Freight, engraving zones, price changes, parent SKU set ups.
    • MicroStrategy and Reports coordination – creating new reports as required by Team, manipulating existing reports, running all Monday morning reports / data needs for Team analyzing, Assortment Planning data needs.
    • Web Push coordination with Digital team – adding new SKU’s to Push sheets, then maintaining and update info in order to get item launched accurately and quickly; actions include photography identifying most appealing features/benefits to maximize photo and copy image, product info, category allocation, out of Stock, stage review, engraving zones, push date.
    • Strategic determination of cross sells (suggested product alternatives) and determine keywords for search functions for new/existing web and store product.
    • Become proficient in Access Database; and create/manage product knowledge collateral.
    • Work with QA team on Golden Samples review; coordinate actions to remove items on QC hold and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the products prior to shipment.
    • Provide visual merchandising support and proofing of store visual guides (VMG).
    • Pulling samples for all meeting needs such as Style outs, Monday meeting, Catalog reviews, etc.
    • Reviewing and pulling competitive info in order for Team to stay current on Trends and help with building assortment.
    • Coordinate with personalization team to test engrave all new products quickly and accurately ensuring all type of personalization are explored and document in an organize format.
    • Work on special projects as assigned.

    • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree and/or Job related experience.
    • Corporate retail, preferably merchandising.
    • Requires MicroStrategy or relevant software experience.
    • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office, JDA are a plus.
