General Summary

This position is responsible for designing, creating and presenting effective learning tools and programs that include managerial, technical, operational, customer experience and sales skill-building workshops. This position is responsible for supporting the needs of the Field organization, Fulfillment Center and Home Office at all levels. This is accomplished through development and presentation of programs and materials that encourage life-long learnings, prepare teammates to support the business initiatives, assist with building competence and internal bench strength throughout the organization. Everyone is an important customer, including our Teammates.  Our obsession is in delighting all of our customers.

Creative & Design

  1. *Utilize instructional design methodologies to develop, write, implement and present learning and development programs and tools that will produce a positive impact on sales and retention through all levels of the organization.
  2. *Partner with business leaders on learning strategies and materials for their respective markets.
  3. Analyze results data and enhance or create material to enhance learning.
  4. Design all roll-out materials for meetings to ensure consistent and accurate delivery.
  5. Create customized materials for internal programs and systems; facilitate classroom-style learning.
  6. Create communication for organization to include technical documents, learning modules and videos with scripting, engraving messages, customer experience, development materials, selling materials, etc.

 

Presentation & Engagement

  1. *Facilitate learning workshops in the Home Office, Fulfillment Center and in the Field.
  2. Support business meetings through material and presentations to enhance learning.
  3. Facilitate new leader assimilations to include team building exercise and DiSC.
  4. Coach Managers on learning and developing Teammates to include IDPs and PIPs.
  5. Participate in process improvement meetings to include engraving, material creation, loss prevention, communications, customer experience, etc.
  6. Cultivate employee engagement through onboarding plans that immerse Teammates and Leaders into the Things Remembered culture.
  7. Participate in special projects.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities

  1. Proven track record in developing creative learning programs and measuring results
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  3. Creative with document design, learning ideas and presentations
  4. Expertise in Word, Excel, Power Point and Access (preferred)
  5. Familiarity with multimedia learning programs
  6. Encourages an environment of continuous improvement; approachable and discreet
  7. Strong presentation skills
  8. Strong organization and follow-through skills
  9. Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization which may include coaching and advising managers with performance issues and learning suggestions
  10. Ability to think through a process or procedure and create material to support it
  11. Performs as a team player across all boundaries
  12. Understands and/or experience with adult learning programs/materials
  13. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  14. Required to travel, as necessary

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree a plus
  2. 4+ years of experience developing materials/facilitation for a multi-site retailer a plus
  3. Retail experience preferred
